Celebrating Fulham Week 2013

Celebrating Fulham Week 2013

The annual ‘Celebrating Fulham’ Week starts this Saturday, 29 June and runs through to 7 July. We’re pleased to say that the libraries, archives and local history service will be joining in:

The Hammersmith & Fulham Archives and Local History Centre is holding an Open Day on Tuesday 2 July, from 2.00-4.00 pm.

Come and visit the local archives and learn about your local neighbourhood and how you can find out more about your ancestors and the house you live in. The Archivist will be there to answer your questions and talk about the collection, which includes photographs of old Fulham, census returns, early maps and newspapers. You could also take a look at some of the archives we’ve highlighted on this site recently – photos of street parties and artefacts relating to Fulham Football Club!

Admission is free but as space is limited, please contact Nicki Burgess (020 3080 0655 / nicki.burgess@lbhf.gov.uk) and leave a message with your phone number, telling us you plan  to come.

Fulham Library will be holding special Under 5s Story and Rhyme-Time events on Tuesday 2 July, Thursday 4 July and Friday 5 July, all at 10.45-11.45am.

Again, these are free sessions but tickets are required. These are issued on Wednesdays for all sessions. For more information 020 8753 3879.

There’s lots more going on – click on the banner logo above or visit Celebrating Fulham to find out about other events and celebrations.
