Today, 7 February is National Libraries Day – are you coming to the library today? We’d love to see you.
If you haven’t been to the library for a while, pick your nearest one and come and find out what we have to offer. On Saturdays in Hammersmith & Fulham Libraries you can find
- a knitting group (10.00am – 12.00 noon) and computer help session (11.00am – 12.00 noon) at Fulham Library
- storytime in Italian for the under 5s (10.30 – 11.00am) at Hammersmith Library
- rhymetime for under 5s (11.00 – 11.45am), Chatterbooks reading club for children aged 7.12 years (11.00am – 12.00 noon) and a chance to speak to your local police CSOs (2.00 – 3.00pm) at Shepherd’s Bush Library.
These are just some of the regular Saturday events – take a look at our events pages for information about what’s going on on other days.
Or just come in and have a look at our wide range of books for both adults and children, use the library computers, ask a question, borrow a DVD or CD, find out about local history at Hammersmith & Fulham Archives, or use the study space we offer.
If you can’t get to the library today, have a look at our brilliant online resources – you can download e-books and e-audiobooks for free, and use the Times newspaper archives and Encyclopaedia Britannica (and more) from home too.
There are loads of reasons to love libraries this National Libraries Day. Come and find out why!
