The reading group at Askew Road Library celebrated National Reading Group Day in style. We discussed the book ‘Tell the wolves I’m Home‘ by Carol Rifka Brunt, over tea, coffee, home-made carrot cake and chocolate mint biscuits. Members  were presented with a free proof read book & a bookmark.

The group selected to read “Toby’s Room” by Pat Barker to discuss at our next meeting.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of the Month from 6.30-7.30pm and is open to adults of all ages. The chosen book is the focal point for the evening’s discussion and we often discuss other works by the author, books of a similar genre or other books we may have read during the past month. Towards the end of the meeting we choose the next book to read from a choice of 3 books.
